In an effort to assist consumer and commercial recovery from Hurricane Irene, Weemba is waiving all fees for lenders who contact anyone posting a need for a rebuilding or recovery loan at www.weemba.com. “The person or business in need of a loan never pays a fee in Weemba, but we wanted to help those borrowers with loan needs for rebuilding or assisting their businesses in the wake of the hurricane by making it free for lenders to approach them,” said Annette Gallagher, CEO. Normally in Weemba, lenders can see a lot of qualifying information about a project and borrower for free but are required to pay a fee to receive the identity and contact information of the individual or business that posted it.
“J.D. Power and Associates reported recently that up to 20 percent of home owners don’t have enough insurance coverage to rebuild, and we know that FEMA and other government resources are already stretched to the limit by this year’s storms and flooding,” said Matthew Reid, Chief of Lender Relations. “If people need to borrow money to be able to get back on their feet from this most recent storm, we are eager to help lenders find them at no cost.”
To help lenders more easily find those loan projects relating to Irene, Weemba has created a special category of loan, Hurricane Irene Damage Repair/Recovery, and contact information for all projects posted in that category is visible to registered lenders at no charge. Simply use the filter for Loan Purpose and search for Hurricane Irene Damage Repair/Recovery.

Hi Spencer! You can register as a Borrower in Weemba and post your need for free. Lenders will see it and maybe some of them can help you. We believe it is a good idea to support your project by posting pictures of the damage, before and after photos, any damage appraisal you have, etc. Lenders, in general, like to see Borrowers who are prepared and have their information together.
